These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AirPoint software, including the desktop receiver for Windows, the mobile app for Android, and related materials made available through our website (collectively, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using AirPoint, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
AirPoint lets you control a Windows PC from a mobile device over a local Wi‑Fi connection. The Service includes features such as a virtual touchpad, media controls, and presentation shortcuts. AirPoint is provided for personal and lawful use on devices and networks you own or are authorized to use.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use AirPoint on your devices. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use AirPoint to access or control systems without the owner’s permission
- Interfere with or disrupt networks, devices, or other users
- Attempt to bypass pairing, security, or approval mechanisms
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose
- Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the software except as explicitly allowed by us
4. Local network and pairing
AirPoint relies on your local network. You are responsible for ensuring your Wi‑Fi and devices are configured securely. Pairing codes and tokens should be treated as sensitive — anyone with access to them on your network may attempt to connect. Use desktop approval settings when available.
5. No accounts; no cloud service
AirPoint does not require user accounts and does not provide a hosted remote-access service. Control commands are sent directly between your devices on your network. We are not responsible for network outages, router settings, firewall rules, or third-party software conflicts on your devices.
6. Updates and changes
We may release updates to improve security, compatibility, or functionality. We may also modify or discontinue features at any time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated software and these Terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AIRPOINT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ALL HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE CONFIGURATIONS.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AIRPOINT AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $0 IF THE SERVICE WAS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AirPoint from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Third-party platforms
If you obtain AirPoint through Google Play or another distribution platform, that platform’s terms may also apply. We are not responsible for third-party store policies, billing, or refund processes.
11. Termination
You may stop using AirPoint at any time by uninstalling the software. We may suspend or terminate your license if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply in your country of residence.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Your continued use of AirPoint after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
