AirPoint (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides software that lets you control a Windows PC from your phone over your local Wi‑Fi network. This Privacy Policy explains what information is — and is not — collected when you use the AirPoint desktop app, mobile app, and website.
Summary
- AirPoint is designed to work locally on your network. We do not operate cloud servers for pairing or control.
- We do not require an account, login, or email address to use the apps.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not intentionally collect usage analytics inside the desktop or mobile apps.
Information the apps process
Local network communication
When you pair your phone with your PC, the apps exchange connection details (such as your PC’s local IP address, port, and a pairing token) over your Wi‑Fi network using WebSocket. This traffic stays on your local network and is not sent to AirPoint servers.
Device and pairing data stored on your devices
The desktop app may store settings on your PC (for example, paired device names, preferences, and pairing tokens). The mobile app may store connection history and preferences on your phone. This data remains on your devices unless you remove the apps or clear their data.
Camera access (mobile app)
The mobile app may request camera permission solely to scan QR codes for pairing. We do not record, upload, or store camera images or video.
Input commands
Touchpad movements, clicks, scroll actions, media keys, and similar commands are sent from your phone to your PC to perform the actions you request. These commands are processed locally and are not transmitted to us.
Website
If you visit our website to download AirPoint, your browser may send standard technical information to our hosting provider (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) in server logs. We use this only to operate and secure the site. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this website.
What we do not collect
- Account credentials or social login data
- Contacts, photos, files, or browsing history from your PC or phone
- Location data beyond what your device uses for local network connectivity
- Payment information (AirPoint is currently offered without in-app purchases through us)
Third-party services
The mobile app is distributed through Google Play. Google’s terms and privacy practices apply to that distribution channel.
Children’s privacy
AirPoint is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Because AirPoint operates on your local network, you should use it only on networks you trust. Keep your devices and Wi‑Fi secured with strong passwords. Pairing requires a token or approval on the desktop app to reduce unauthorized connections.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of AirPoint after changes means you accept the updated policy.
